背水一戰的Nokia：把技術長從芬蘭外派到美國舊金山
Nokia昨天（2011/9/22）把的Henry Tirri升拔為成技術長（CTO），他原是Nokia研究中心（Nokia Research Center）的主管。而且，他被要求從總部所在地芬蘭外派到美國西岸舊金山灣區（Sunnyvale, California），以靠近頭號敵人蘋果公司以及Google總部的所在地（Cupertino和Mountain View）。
Nokia的現任CEO是現年48歲來加拿大的自前微軟公司負責Office產品線的主管Stephen Elop（他也曾經當過Macromedia在被Adobe合併前三個月的CEO），筆者總覺得這個Nokia新CEO是微軟派去Nokia的大間諜！因為，他成功地讓Nokia決定放棄自家Symbian和Maemo，在今年二月宣布在未來的智慧型手機上採用微軟的Windows Mobile 7作業系統。
把高階主管外派至敵前，顯示出背水一戰的決心！尤其，當Nokia在美國的銷售量已成為非常可憐的狀況下。在今（2011）年，Nokia一點都不好過！在5月已關閉法國和西班牙的線上商店銷售業務，在6月時也同時關閉了美國、英國和德國的線上商店銷售業務，7月份宣布將徹底退出日本手機市場。
我們必須尊敬Nokia的決心，雖然他們在過去五年表現愈來愈差，雖然他們在過去十年過的太爽了，雖然他們想要靠微軟這個同樣在智慧型手機領域的嚴重落後者，似乎也不是個妥當的選擇。但是，期望各家廠商站出來挑戰蘋果和Google，也才能讓整個市場進步更快速！

Can my site be private?

You can also make a single post private by emailing it to private@posterous.com. We'll send you back a secret URL to that post.
Can I make a group site?
Posterous is great for group sites. You can add your friends or family’s email addresses to any Posterous site you control. Then they email post@sitename.posterous.com to post to it. They don't even need to create an account.
All posts and comments on that site will be emailed to all contributors instantly. It's works just like an email list, but smarter.
Posterous groups are useful for families, sports teams, etc. to share photos and video. No registration required, no software to learn, no hoops to jump through.
How do I add tags?
Add tags simply in the subject of your email using the syntax ((tag: apple, gadgets)). This works in the bookmarklet too. You can see your tags on the homepage of your site and click on them to see those posts. You can also see what people are saying about

據說，在10年1月27日蘋果的iPad發表會之後，蘋果公司的執行長Steve Jobs在內部一場會議中，回應員工的問題時，以驚人的態度與用語提到與Adobe及Google相關的看法： 有關Google：蘋果並肥有進入搜尋市場，而是Google進入了手機市場，顯然Google想要消滅iPhone。蘋果不會讓這樣的事情發生。Google的名言：「不做壞事」，Steve Jobs說， “是胡扯” （bullshit，牛大便！？），[據不具名現場的員工描述]現場鼓噪不已！ 有關Adobe：Steve Jobs認為Adobe有許多機會可以做有趣的事，但他們拒絕去做，他們“太懶了！”。他們沒有採取像蘋果曾做的方法（例如Carbon的系統底層解決方案）。蘋果不支援Flash的原因在於，Flash問題很多，存在太多的臭蟲（程式錯誤）。蘋果Mac電腦當機大都因為Flash。Steve Jobs認為在未來沒有人會用Flash，因為整個網路世界已經朝向HTML5的新方法前進。 這是嘲弄或是抱怨？ 根據另外有關這場內部會議的資料來源，Steve Jobs對內表示： 看來外界對於蘋果與Adobe和Google之間的衝突與競爭的猜測，都是真的！

- 在iTunes的程式商店（Apps Store）目前有14萬個程式。
- 在過去18個月，已有30億次的程式在Apps Store被下載！
- 在2010會計年度第一季，蘋果的營業額為15億六千萬美金， 年營業額超過50億美金，超過Sony和Nokia，是世界上第一大移動設備公司（The largest Mobile Device Company in the World）。
- 已有超過7千5百萬人曾經使用過iPod Touch或iPhone，他們也將會知道如何使用iPad。
- iTunes商店已有超過1億2千5百萬個客戶， 這些客戶都有信用卡。
- iTunes商店已累積超過1百億次內容（音樂或程式）下載數。
筆記型電腦與手機之間的市場需求
在蘋果的想法裡，在手機和筆記型電腦之間，需要有另一種產品（但不是Netbook，也就是類似EeePC之類的小筆電），這種新種類產品的重要的功能是：（1）瀏覽網頁（2）收發電子郵件（3）觀賞照片（4）觀賞影片（5）聆聽音樂（6）打電動遊戲（7）閱讀電子書。
現有的比筆電速度慢、顯示效果不好，而且使用一般微軟PC的軟體，不是一個好的解決方案。
蘋果的方案：iPad
蘋果推出的iPad，重要規格如下：

- 9.7 吋 LED背光IPS顯示螢幕

iPad也是一個電子書的解決方案，蘋果創設一個電子書的線上商店：ibooks，搭配iPad此一絕佳的電子書閱讀設備。此外，蘋果更提供iWorks（keynote簡報軟體、numbers試算表、Pages文書出版編排）的iPad版本（每個單項程式美金9.99，透過Apps Store購買）。
iPad的售價
蘋果提出令外界驚訝的售價如下： 16GB US$499 / 32GB $US599 / 64GB $US699 / 16GB+3G $US629 / 32GB+3G $US729 / 64GB+3G $US829 。
蘋果與AT&T在美國有專案配合價格（含通訊費用，以及免費使用全美AT&T的WiFi熱點），但在其他國際市場，iPad 3G將會是未鎖機模式，及表示可以在任何地區插上3G SIM卡（但此次iPad使用新型micro Sims卡）使用。
蘋果表示，WiFi機種將在60天後出貨，3G機種將在90天後出貨。

蘋果的宣傳影片中，有一句話（iTunes Apps軟體開發副總裁說的）很重要：我不需要改變自己去習慣產品，產品來習慣我！（I don't have to change myself to fit the product, it fits to me!）
台灣許許多多在過去為國際大廠代工，這幾年大力投入自我品牌發展的電子廠，真應該好好從這句話思索目前自身投入電子書（eBook）的態度、能力、資源與技術，是否真為消費者好好想過？還是只是跟隨著市場的趨勢與流行？
